Description: The Common Knit Mistakes Workshop will teach you to fix the most confusing and common knitting mistakes and level up your knitting skills! We’ll guide you through picking up dropped stitches, un-knitting or “tinking” your work one stitch at a time, changing a knit to a purl and vice versa, fixing twisted stitches and ripping back large portions of your work without going back further than intended. Supplies: Please bring two knit swatches- one 25 stitch × 25 row garter stitch swatch and one 25 stitch × 25 row stockinette stitch swatch on any scrap yarn you may have. Please DO NOT bind off the swatches- leave them on your needles! Participants may also want to bring stitch markers and a crochet hook or knitting “fix-it” tool to practice using them in this context.

Skill Level: Advanced beginner- participants must be comfortable knitting, purling, casting on and binding off.

Homework:

• Please create the swatches mentioned above before class and bring them still on the needles! No other homework is needed.
