Description: The Knit Market Bag Workshop will guide you through knitting a functional and trendy market bag! The first session will start with the base and the mesh body of the bag. Session two will finish off the body of the bag and the handles. Participants must be 12+ years old. If you’re interested in classes for children, please contact us at (815) 836-0470.

Supplies: Yarn will be provided! Participants must bring a size 4.5mm (US 7) needles with a 24” cable, stitch markers and a tapestry needle - feel free to come into Betsy’s to purchase these items here for 10% off!

Skill Level: Intermediate - Participants must be confident casting on, knitting, purling and binding off to participate.

Homework:

• If desired, participants can pick up the yarn and pattern from Betsy’s to begin the base of the bag at home so completing it before Session #1 will allow the participant to work on more complex parts of the pattern with the instructor!

• Participants should complete the body of the bag at home before the second session. We will begin with the top edge of the bag and complete the handles together.
